The Peacewalker tells the story of exiled Burmese Monk Ashin Sopaka.  Following in the spirit of Gandhi's peaceful protests, Ashin has encouraged people from all over the world to walk in the name of peace and freedom.  This documentary combines retrospection and reenactment to recall Ashin's experiences of his 2007 Peacewalk spanning the length of Thailand. 

 

The Peacewalker was made by Soul Rebel Films and directed by long-term collaborator Gary Forrester.  Matthew's score featured full orchestration across the whole film.  The documentary has been warmly received at film festivals across the globe and a follow on feature is currently being planned.
